Bring it Home
Meditation is not about escaping this world to get into some “better place.” It is about bringing what we experience in those deep moments of silence and bringing it home, here, into this body. This shifts our perspective, it shifts how the body functions, shifts its very chemistry, shifts our orientation of who we think we are and what we believe is possible. We can drop further and further into the core, and get in touch with this true version of who we are instead of staying identified with the protective version that we have created.
If there is anything that isn’t happening in your life the way that you would like it to, know that it can get there through an avenue very different from what you have anticipated. Perhaps in the past you have felt blindsided by events, and perhaps you may begin to see such circumstances as course-corrections, as being there to serve rather than hinder you.
A shift begins when we decide to just sit down quietly, focusing inward, strong in the spine, and conscious of the breath. Quietly lean in to what is, right now, right here, in this moment.
