Get Busy Being Still… and be still while you’re busy.

When you still yourself from the turbulence that the mind creates, you have an opportunity to be present, to be Here.

We have to build a sensation at the protective personality level that knows there is more to the picture. We can dissolve more and more of that protective personality each time we sit and meditate. I recommend that you do some kind of meditation every day. We can then begin to develop some mastery about staying centered, staying in the awareness of the truth and the stillness within.

In the quiet space at the core, while we look out at the world, hear the sounds and see the activities, we can insist that it happens through a filter of okay-ness:

I Am the One. I Am the One who gets to have the various parts of me come together in one synchronized reality…

Part of me wants to meditate.
Part of me thinks I can’t.
Part of me wants to do this creative project. Another part of me doesn’t believe it’s possible.
Part of me wants this.
Part of me wants that…

We can stop that by saying,

I Am the One. I am the One to bring these parts together.

The way that we get to do that is to find the common denominator place where all the “parts” meet. That place is here, in the stillness.

All of those “parts” speak this language. They all beg for this language, because this language–this moment–represents all of “Who I Am.” And every one of those parts is interested in the whole.

This is how we do it, one day at a time. (Maybe twice a day.)  😉

The presence of resistance to an experience or circumstance outside our control represents an invitation to reveal aspects of ourselves we have not yet been open to. We miss this invitation almost every time.

Everything is energy. I have said that before, and I will say it another thousand times. Everything is energy. When we come from this perspective – that our experiences are energy, and that life and everything in it is energy – we get to step into a more masterful place sooner rather than later.

Some energies are anchoring, and some are expansive. You need both in order to integrate your whole soulful self into this body, and to live this life fully in the way it is intended.

We need it all: expansion and anchoring; growth and integration. We need to evolve, and we need to sit down and be fully where we are in the body and in the moment.

Knowing that “There is only One thing happening here and it is Good” is not about by-passing reality by any means. Being and operating from the heart space, from a soulful space, and looking out through that lens is the surest way to hold this transcendent perspective.

From a survivor perspective, we can name countless reasons to believe that it is NOT all good. With gun violence, injustice, abuse, poverty – you name it – we can certainly build a case that it doesn’t look so good. And here is where we can take a “time out” in our thinking and remember that we are more than just flesh and bone. We are more than just surviving, instinct-based individuals. We are creative-source energy in a body. We are God-source energy in a body. While that is a lofty statement, it happens to be the truth.

So what does that mean and how does that apply in the real world? We have come to this real world, to this dimension, for a great exercise program. Nothing is happening that is not a direct match for what we are here to realize. When really big things are happening, it is because we are big beings who have taken on a project for the purpose of realizing what we are. With full acceptance of all the energies we experience in all circumstances (including grief, pain, anger, despair, illness, or anything else), we can simultaneously embody a different vibrational frequency by choosing to BRING the Love, bring the compassion, bring the understanding. In doing so, we change the world, starting right where we stand.

When pure spirit being comes into the physical dimension, there is friction. That friction shows up as the challenges in the news, in our family life, in our health. In whatever way we experience these things, each is also an opportunity to experience ourselves in a way that we have not before. Each is an opportunity for us to reach inside and access something we didn’t even know we had.
