Morter Institute has a room rate of $139 plus tax per night, good from Thursday, February 28, 2019 – Tuesday, March 5, 2019.

EVENT LOCATION: Los Angeles Airport (LAX) Marriott
The ECCF Training will take place in the Meridian Ballroom of the Los Angeles Airport Marriott. For information about the LAX Marriott including parking, arrival information, room amenities and more, please visit their website HERE.
REGISTRATION
Registration begins at 8am on Friday, March 1 in the lobby outside the Meridian Ballroom. Doors to the training room will open at 8:30am.
- A name badge will be provided to you at check-in. We ask that you please wear your name badge all weekend, as this is your entry check into the training room.
- The Waiver of Liability and Hold Harmless Agreement will be provided at registration. A signature will be required prior to your admittance to the training. Please see the information below regarding the Waiver of Liability, Release and Hold Harmless Agreement.
- As a part of your registration, you will receive a copy of The Energy Codes book signed by Dr. Sue. If you are a primary registrant of the event, this copy of The Energy Codes is in addition to the 100 books that will be shipped to you. Please hold onto your book as we will not be able to provide you an additional copy. We recommend writing your name in your book, as well as your workbook, so that any misplaced materials can be returned to you!
PARTICIPANT WAIVER OF LIABILITY, RELEASE AND HOLD HARMLESS AGREEMENT
As part of the Certified Energy Codes Facilitator Training event, we ask that you read the following “Participant Waiver of Liability, Release and Hold Harmless Agreement.”

This is a standard waiver of liability and digital release. A copy of the document will be available for you at registration with your signature required prior to your admittance to the training.

SHIPPING ADDRESS CONFIRMATION
Final shipping address confirmations will take place throughout the weekend training. If you are a primary registrant of The Energy Codes® Certified Facilitator Training, please see Kris Conlin at the event to confirm your shipping address.
Please note, regarding the shipment of the 100 books, we are only able to ship to ONE domestic location at this time. For international shipping addresses, any international shipping charges and customs fees are the responsibility of the registrant. If you have previously inquired about the possibility of splitting your shipment of books with your guest (domestic only), we will follow up at the event with a final announcement regarding this possibility.
MEALS
Coursework begins each day at 9am. We will break for lunch around 12 Noon with coursework resuming at 1:30pm. Lunch and dinner will be on your own. There are several restaurants in the LAX Marriott Hotel to accommodate our group. Please CLICK HERE to see the available restaurant options.
WHAT TO WEAR
We recommend wearing layers to the weekend training. Interior ballroom temperatures can be unpredictable and may fluctuate throughout the course of the day so please be sure to bring whatever clothes you may need to be comfortable.
INFORMATION AND RETAIL HOURS
The information and retail area will be set-up outside the Meridian Ballroom during the weekend. If you have any questions, or there is anything you need throughout the training, please see one of the ECCF Training Team members there. A retail area where you can purchase products, register for upcoming coursework, or inquire about Morter Institute offerings will also be available.
The informational and retail area will be available the following hours:
- Friday: 8am-7pm
- Saturday: 8am – 6pm
- Sunday: 8am – 5pm
- Monday: 8am – 5pm
AUDIO & VIDEO RECORDING PROHIBITED
Please be aware that audio and video recording of any portion of the ECCF Training is prohibited. Dr. Sue has provided many resources and support materials in your Member Area, including video resources of each Code and other key concepts. If you have questions about content reviewed throughout the weekend, a closed Facebook Group is also available for additional support, or you can reach out to the ECCF Training Team at [email protected]

CLOSED FACEBOOK GROUP
We have created a “Dr. Sue Morter’s Certified Energy Codes Facilitators” Facebook group open to those participants of the upcoming Certified Energy Codes Facilitator Training in Los Angeles March 1-3, 2019. This is a “closed” Facebook group, meaning members, posts and content is only visible to those who join.
To be added to the group, please login to your Facebook account and search for “Dr. Sue Morter’s Certified Energy Codes Facilitators.” From here you can request to join the group and an admin will approve your request.
Once you’re in the “Dr. Sue Morter’s Certified Energy Codes Facilitators” Facebook group, we’d love for you to introduce yourself to the group (starting your post with the hashtag: #Intro). Please also post any questions you may have (starting the post with the hashtag: #Question). Including the appropriate hashtags allows for posts to be more easily searched and for your questions to be answered in an efficient manner!
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Can the shipment of 100 books be split between primary registrant and their guest?
We are in the process of exploring the possibility of splitting the shipment of the 100 books between the ECCF Primary Registrant and their registered guest. Nothing has been confirmed at this time. If the ability to split the shipment of books to two domestic addresses is made available, we will let everyone know the necessary steps and information needed to allow for this to occur in a fluid and easy manner.
Do I have to purchase a ticket to the Saturday evening event, Celebration of the Soul: An Evening of Wisdom & Wonder?
As a registered participant of the Certified Energy Codes Facilitator Training, you DO NOT have to purchase a ticket to attend the Saturday evening event.The event begins at 7:30pm (doors open at 7:00pm) and is an evening program including several presentations by Dr. Sue’s colleagues and friends. We invite you to make arrangements for dinner prior, as dinner will not be provided.

Where can I find the training resources and bonus materials included in my registration?
As part of your Certified Energy Codes Facilitator Training, you will receive training resources including worksheets, logos, marketing materials and flyers to use for your personal workshops, as well as support videos by Dr. Sue, poster images and more.
A workbook will be provided for you at the ECCF Training. Additional resources will be available in the Member Area beginning March 1-3, 2019.
