Kashi Meditation and Yoga Retreat 2018
Here are the details you need for Dr. Sue’s Kashi Meditation and Yoga Retreat. Please read it in its entirety.
We will start our retreat on Thursday, October 18th at 3:00 pm. You may arrive anytime that day and be able to access your room. If you are arriving a day early, you may stay at the ashram for an additional $100. The first meal served will be dinner on Thursday, but the refrigerator will be stocked for early arrivals at Shirdi House. If you plan to arrive early, please contact Glynis at [email protected] or 1-855-872-8700 as soon as possible so we can inform the ashram of your arrival. We will need this information by October 1, 2018.
We will end the retreat on Sunday, October 21st at 4:00 pm.
Your registration includes meals (vegetarian) and dormitory style accommodation. Room upgrades are available. Please contact me if you would like to upgrade your room. If you are not aware of your room type please contact our office.
As for attire, the ashram requests that ladies wear longer dresses or pants and cover their shoulders. Dr. Sue suggests capri pants because there are dirt paths and damp grass, and longer pants will get dirty. For men, they request pants and shirts, no shorts or tank tops. There are no color preferences, though white is the color for Mother Saraswati, and red for Mother Durga. Dr. Sue requests that you wear some white or red for the Puja’s (fire ceremonies). Please bring a shawl for the evening events, casual flip flops for walking the grounds, and bug repellent.
We will have yoga throughout the day so feel free to plan to stay in your yoga clothes and bring your yoga mat and water bottle. The ashram doesn’t provide yoga mats, straps or blocks so bring your own. Dinner is served between 5 and 6 pm. Puja’s are scheduled at 6:30 pm.
For those who may want to go to the beach or exercise (walk/run) during our time at the ashram, please note that you must be covered while on the grounds. Upon leaving, you can “strip down” to jogging shorts or a bathing suit, but you are asked not to wear that type of clothing on the property.
Shuttles from the airports include Super Shuttle (operating out of the Orlando Airport), (800) BLUE-VAN (800-258-3826), and the Melbourne Airport Shuttle (800-826-4544). Please contact them about pricing, booking, and details.
If you need to contact us while traveling, please call: Dr. Elisa at 317-625-2424.
You may also go to the Kashi website and read about visiting the ashram.
We look forward to seeing you in October!
