From Friction to Flow

Right now, the world is waking up.
The “chaos” and “turbulence” we see around us is simply a sign that the time for humanity’s great awakening is here.
The “friction” we see on a global scale (and that you’re probably feeling in your personal life as well) exists, not to hold us back, but to help us transcend who we think we are… to become who we’re actually born to be!
We can use this “friction” or frustration by consciously working with those external situations that trigger us.
Friction can show up as a fight with your partner…the growing frustration at the actions of global leaders…or the sorrow and rage felt from witnessing violent acts.
Consciously working with these frustrating circumstances, situations, or people one-by-one and learning to deal with the “friction” or trigger they cause in you is one way to begin mastering your energy and waking up to the True Self.
The problem with this approach is the fact that frustrating situations will continually arise, leaving you constantly and continually having to deal with them one after one - which can be exhausting and leave you constantly reacting to the world around us.
Or…we can step onto the mat each day to consciously create new neurocircuitry to intentionally skyrocket our transformation.
This is the powerful effect that BodyAwake Yoga offers, and why so many students are having major shifts in their lives in a rapid-fire way once they dive into this practice.
Stepping onto the mat to place the body in various postures (called asanas) creates intentional internal “friction” in our system. This builds internal awareness.
The areas we are tight or feel tension (friction) have a direct correlation to areas in our life where energy isn’t flowing.
When we come to the mat and know the exact alignment of each asana to create this “internal friction,” as well as how to use the breath to route the energy through these areas in a specific way, our lives transform.
Not only do our bodies open up with awareness and our health and well-being improves, our entire life expands as well…
