The Gift of What Is
Somehow we came to know ourselves more because of the difficult situations in our lives. So was it really all bad? What if we soften that definition of what is right and what is wrong, what is good and what is bad? When we’re working with the mind and its tendency to draw conclusions, we can choose a different energy. We can go inside and listen instead of replaying and remaining in our stories.
What if we go inside and feel, and sense, and be present with what’s happening there? What if we make our decisions based upon that? What if we make choices based upon a sensation of belongingness, based upon a truth of sharing-ness, instead of need, and based upon the idea that my individuality is good and right, and so is yours? What if we recognize, “I don’t need you to be different to be okay? If I’m all caught up needing you to be different in order for me to be okay, then that’s a message that I could choose to move into my own ok-ness. The gift is, since you don’t seem to be changing, perhaps I need to look at things a little differently.”
If I have an expectation of you and you’re not delivering, where’s all my power? It’s completely dispersed; it’s completely out there. I need to pull it back into me. My body is going to tell me where that is. Then I’m living in my own steam, in my own power. It’s not just mine individually, but it’s my part of infinite possibility. It’s my part of God. It’s my part of the flow. It’s my part of Source.
