Seeking and the Inner Voice

ECInsightsBannerWhiteAs we grow up and go about our lives, often we don’t give balanced focus to ourselves. When we begin to feel that imbalance, we start to awaken, and we move out of a survival phase and into the phase of consciousness. Then we start to realize that some of our patterns don’t really leave us feeling fulfilled. At that point, we look to the left, and we look to the right, and wake up to realization that there must be some other possibility. We realize that there must be something more, and we begin a search, we begin to seek.

We can get caught up in our conscious “seeking” just like we can be caught up in unconscious “surviving.” We can reach a point where we are just using seeking as what appears to be a smarter way of surviving. Before, we survived by doing what we had been shown, modeled, and taught. Then we started to put some of our own consciousness into it, and went down the seeking path. And the seeker eventually must realize that the act of only seeking keeps them from ever landing inside of that which they are seeking. They never have the experience they’re wanting so long as they continue to seek and to strive. At some point, we will have collected enough information about ourselves and about life that we are satisfied with that. Then we will drop into our core, and we will start feeling good about that.

As we feel good about being in the core, we start to activate our feeling body instead of just living in our mental survivorship. It starts to feel good that we’re learning so much, that we’re staking a claim for ourselves. And we start to cultivate a conscious connection to a layer closer to the small, still voice.

Set a Higher Perspective

ECInsightsBannerWhiteHow can we set a higher context for the way we see life? We have to sense that there is more than meets the eye. We have to sense it in the core, that our true purpose for being here is to awaken to the part of us that is not lacking, that is completely full, that is here simply for the engagement of experiencing the self as creator.

To set this bigger context, we have to learn to stay in the core.  We need a tool—such as conscious breath—to introduce a pattern-interrupt, something to pull us out of the argument, out of the stress of the thing that we’re grinding on, and back into the core where we can anchor ourselves in the moment. We must tune our awareness to the reality that there is something happening on the inside as well as the drama/trama on the outside.

Anything and everything that we can do to pull the attention to the inner body, to the inner core, will open up a gateway. This will allow the essential self to play a role in the circumstances that we conjure up, and in how we fill in the blanks (or not) in any given circumstance when we don’t know all the details.

We need a way to interrupt the patterns and bring us back home. And it needs to be something physical, not a thought. Because if your mind could think your way out of the stressful situation that your mind has created, it would have by now. Conscious breath is a good place to start.

The Passionate Heart Leads

In the face of everything, the most important thing we can remember is that we are in the seat of Creator. We are creating the experience of being here.

Actually, this entire reality is an illusion. It’s an out-picturing, a movie that is playing out in 3D stereo, playing on the outside for us what our consciousness is doing on the inside.

The Consciousness unfolds into a greater and greater reality all the time. The catalyst for that is Joy. And a direction led by the passion of the heart will always take you in the right direction.

The Passionate Heart says:

I get to enjoy my life again.
I get to feel passionate about how my days are spent.
I get to feel the exhilaration of expressing, and when I’m in that full expression, it is medicine for the world.
And if my system is integrated, that medicine for the world also serves me… because there is only One of us here.

This Moment is Medicine

ECInsightsBannerWhite

The true you has nothing to prove, to accomplish, to gain, or to lose. It has no where to go, and there is nothing that does not already exist within. We can learn to live from that place.

Whatever is happening in your outer circumstances, the true You can fall back into the fabric of all that exists, and be caught and supported every time. The real you is part of an eternal flow that is happening constantly and continuously. When we are identified as this true self (when we are living in conscious awareness of this truth), we know that there is purpose, we know that there is a full-flowing reality happening right through this very being. We know that the circumstances occurring in life are happening to reflect to us in what way we can steer differently or more specifically to stay anchored in this essential, centered self, regardless of circumstances.

In truth, what science and what the ancient texts are telling us, repeatedly, and have always been telling us, is that there is one journey before you. It is the journey of moving from the protective outer shell to the inner core. That is the only place that there is to go. When it looks like we need to go and achieve something, we can go and achieve it, but do not confuse the accomplishment of an outer goal with fulfillment. Don’t confuse it with your destiny. Don’t confuse it with your purpose. It’s just entertainment. It’s just how you’re expressing and how you’re creating, and what you enjoy experiencing. The vibrational frequencies that you enjoy experiencing are why you pursue the things that you do.

The authentic, essential self is going to approach a challenge, approach a circumstance or an argument from a place of knowing that “this is medicine, something big is happening here for me.” And the moment that we see ourselves saying, “well, they just need to learn this, they just need to clear up this, and if they would, then everything would be better…” we are operating not from the essential self, but from the protective personality.

Think Like a Creator

ECInsightsBannerWhiteWe have to think like creators. When we desire change, we cannot continue to just look for answers and better ways to find more effective ways to respond or to react to life. Rather, we must begin to think and operate from the inside out, to allow the creative presence on the inside to come through.

We can do this in the moment (instead of after the fact) so that we’re not regretting what we allowed our self to create. We can stop right there in the moment when we’re about to do something like we’ve always done before, and simply not let ourselves do it because it hasn’t served us in the way that we have wanted. We can learn to operate in a way that allows our magnificence to shine through.
That small, still voice, that voice in the back of the mind, that presence that has always been wanting to find its way to the surface, gets to emerge and express itself. We’re empowered to choose when that happens.
