Reel It In

ECInsightsBannerWhiteWhen feeling overwhelmed, instead of repeatedly asking “How do I do all this?,” we can approach it energetically. We can insist upon being present. We can command it. Mula Bandha and squeeze the heart. Take a breathe up and down through the central channel again in this moment, and you’ll get more fully into your body, more fully into the present moment.

Inside an experience of anxiety or overwhelm, or in a state of activation – when you feel a rumbling, that trembling within, when you’re rattled – you can go inside and be present with it. This time, instead of avoiding it or pushing it away, meet the rattle and reel it in. Anchor it. And again breathe up and down through the central channel. Say “yes” to it. It is more of you, revealing.

When you breathe consciously, with loving presence, you still the ocean, you still this experience that you are having. You reveal that you are loving presence.

Cultivating Stillness

ECInsightsBannerWhiteIn meditation, we cultivate a deep sense of Oneness and stillness. When we cultivate this stillness, the mind races less; it searches for happiness less; it searches for connectivity less, because it has it. When it’s operating in a state of fulfillment, then the outer world is simply a place to play instead of place we expect to deliver our fulfillment and sense of ok-ness.

In our efforts to meditate, it may seem as if we have to pull ourself away from our loved ones, from our family, our work, our friends, and our social activities so we can sit and do this thing that is “alone.” But ultimately it is the greatest way to connect with all of that–far beyond anything that we can do when we’re operating habitually through our protective personality.

When we can drop into the essential self, into that authenticity, we are automatically connecting in truth, in honesty and integrity in all kinds of circumstances.

There is a healing that can happen under these conditions that cannot happen when we’re “trying and efforting.” In the stillness, we can touch the deep and peaceful sense of Self that everyone seeks.

Getting Married

We have to marry the mind, the breath, the body, and the spirit. These aspects of ourselves have been operating as if they were separate. They have to become One in order for us to sustainably and joyfully create what we want in our lives.

There is nothing that you’re not made of. You are made of everything that exists. If we want to experience something different in our lives, we have to get into touch with more of what we’re made of, and start rolling that out.

Learning how we do that is at the core of project awakening.

Allow the melding of the layers of who you are. Start with the breath. Marry the breath with the body. Experiment with what it feels like to be fully present, fully conscious in your body, with loving awareness. You can do it now, with your very next breath.
